Programme - So Far

WHAT WILL WE BE DOING ?
During the day the choice is down to you !   You could visit one of the many attractions in the area : enjoy the paintings in the many art galleries, reminisce about the music of your youth, there will no doubt be both long & short walks up hills & along the coast, indulge yourself with a bit of retail therapy, visit some of the local industrial archaeological attractions, watch some birds (feathered) or just relax around the pool or in the hotel’s beauty salon

As always, the evenings will be the social focus of the weekend.   The evenings will be based in our own room. 

The following are the highlights of what is planned :

Friday Lunch Time
Part of this wonderful tradition is that those that can meet on the way on Friday for lunch.

This year we are, appropriately, meeting at the "The Chimneys" "in Hooton.  It's part of the Vintage Inn group that have provided excellent food & drink on many previous occasions.

Meet there from 1200 - it's only about 11 minutes from the hotel, so there's plenty of time for a relaxing lunch before checking-in at the hotel.

HOTEL CHECK IN : From 1400


Friday night    
Tonight there will be a buffet meal (8pm > 9pm) to cater for  people who will be arriving at different times. If you are going to be late, contact the hotel and they may be able to put something aside for you.

This is a good time to catch up with people you've not seen for ages and to meet new people.

Saturday Day
Breakfast : 0730 > 1000  Details of other meal times should be on the noticeboard at the hotel.

Members of the local IVC have volunteered to lead a walk for us - see the Updates page for details.

There will be other activities which will be listed on a flip chart in Reception.

Saturday night
As usual, there will be a disco following on from dinner.  If you like, you can dress to impress - DJs and posh frocks as the fancy takes you !

Sunday Day
Keep an eye on this site for developments and on the day there will be a notice board in Reception and may include :
  • 3-4 mile morning walk from the hotel to Brimstage and back. There maybe opportunity for a coffee and visit some craft shops at Brimstage. Starting 10am at the hotel car park. – lead by Keith Robins
  •  Afternoon visit to Port Sunlight – model village plus Lady Lever Art Gallery– Guided tour organised. There is a café in the Gallery where food can be purchased.

Sunday night  
For those lucky enough to be staying with us until Monday, there will be a buffet meal with a quiz run by Gill and Andy.

Monday Day

DRESS CODE
The weekend’s dress code is strictly casual.  However, if you want to dress to impress, Saturday night is your opportunity to dig out your DJ or posh frock – it isn’t compulsory but more and more people have been dressing-up over recent years.

The hotel is renowned for its food and will the following will be part of our weekend :

Friday 
   Lunchtime = See here for more details
   Evening = Buffet : so that there will be food available whenever you arrive

Saturday 
   Breakfast = Usual hotel fare : full English to healthy fruit options
   Evening  = You will have already selected your options and told Ann - haven't you !
Sunday
   Breakfast = Usual hotel fare : full English to healthy fruit options
   Evening  = Buffet
Monday
   Breakfast = Usual hotel fare : full English to healthy fruit options
