The tradition of going away for a weekend early in January each year goes back to the early days of BIVC. In the ‘60’s & ’70’s the main activity was walking- there being little else to do in the chosen locations.
In the ‘80’s sporting activities were popular with both squash and badminton tournements being held. From the ‘90’s the emphasis has changed to visiting cities.
